Prepare to answer those interview questions  

When going for a job interview it is always best to prepare yourself as much as possible. You must find out all you can about the employer as possible. If a recruiter found the position for you, then they should be able to provide with that information. Go onto the web and do whatever research you can.

Questions To Ask

Make a list of questions to ask the employer:
  • Why is this position available?
  • What training is available for the person in this position?
  • What do you expect from a person in this position?
  • What is required for someone to succeed in this position?
  • How will my performance be evaluated?
  • What are the growth opportunities in the next year?
  • What are the growth opportunities in the next two years to five years?
  • What are the growth expectations for the company in the next 12 months?

Questions You May Be Asked

You should get a good idea of the Interviewers personality from your Recruiter as well as the types of questions they may ask.

  • Tell me about yourself.
    Talk about your past positions, education and strengths.
  • Why are you interested in this position?
    Tell them that you have the qualifications to match the job requirement and that you also want to work for the employer
  • What are the most significant accomplishments in your career?
    Identify recent accomplishments that relate to the position and its requirements.
  • What do you know about our organisation?
  • How would you describe your personality?
  • How do you perform under pressure?
  • What is your ideal working environment?
  • How would your co-workers describe you?
  • What do you think of your boss?
  • What have you done to improve yourself over the past year?
  • What did you like least about your last position?
  • Are you creative?
  • What are your goals in your career?
  • Where do you see yourself in two years?
  • Why should we hire you?
  • What kind of salary are you looking for?
  • What other types of jobs/companies are you considering?
